What Is Cold Laser Therapy?

Cold Laser Therapy is a FDA Approved treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to help accelerate the healing process in body tissues. Also called Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), Cold Laser Therapy is a non-invasive, non-thermal, non-destructive laser modality. It is used for treatment of a variety of conditions like neck and shoulder pain, arthritis, muscle spasms, joint pain, carpal tunnel syndrome pain, and more. CLT uses red beam (near infrared lasers) with a wavelength between 600nm and 1000nm. When applied to the skin, the laser produces no heat (non-thermal), no sensation and does not burn the skin. The skin in fact has such a low level of absorption the laser can penetrate deeply into the tissues for increased cellular repair and stimulation of the immune system, lymphatic system, and vascular system.

Cold Laser Therapy is administered by a trained and certified technician.
